Student Ministry- Quarantine Edition

Hey Parents!
As you may know, we have been meeting online with students through Zoom meetings. I want to give you a brief introduction into setting up an account for your student.
This is where we are doing our Digital Hangouts (EVERY weekday @12:45 pm) and boot ONLINE (Sundays @5:30 PM) with students. These meetings are password protected and as the host, I will have full access to mute students’ video or audio, allow students to join the group, and the group will end when I exit the meeting. It is a safe way for our group to meet and allows us to continue to build our community.
To Join:
• Go to bcsm513.com and click on the appropriate link (either Digital Hangout or Boot).
• A tab will open up and a download will start for the Zoom program.
• Once downloaded, a screen will pop up to prompt you to put in a password. If you do not have the password yet, message me and I will get it to you.
• After that, a screen will pop up to prompt you to allow video and audio. Click “allow.”
• This will lead you to the meeting and place you in the Waiting Room until the host admits you into the video meeting.
***If none of that works, let me know (eric@bridgetownchurch.com). We are learning this stuff together and we want everyone that wants to be involved to be involved. ***
Note:
• All downloads are free, and you do not need to make an account if you do not want to. All you need is the link for the meeting.
• Please make sure you are able to use the audio on your device.
• You may need to manually give the app permission in your phone settings.

New and Improved Parent Hacks- Online Parenting Courses

picture by  unsplash-logo Elijah Macleod Dear Parents, You are the greatest influence in the life of your teenager. Research proves it time and again your voice is the loudest in their life. That is a great opportunity for you to make a forever impact in the life of your teenager. It is also a great opportunity for me to partner with you and cheer you on in the process. We have tried that in several ways over the last few years. What we have found is that parents are busy people and adding an extra event to remember or get to was not the most helpful thing we could do. We want to be bringers of hope, help and harmony. For that reason, I am launching an online form of Parent Hacks ( a resource based off of one from minstrytoparents.com)  that I think will become a helpful tool for you as parents to keep in your toolbelt.  I will post encouragement and truth to you in the form of articles, videos, maybe a podcast in the future and messa...
